Behind The Scenes Interview With Cassie Matthews

1.What is it like to work with Linneys for a second time as the face of their annual collection?

It has been so amazing and I’ve loved every minute of it of working with them -  they are wonderful people who truly love what they do. I’m so thrilled and proud to be the face of Linneys again this year, as it is such a sophisticated luxury brand with a rich Australian history.  I wasn’t born here, but since I stepped foot on its shores I’ve fallen in love with this country – the people, the weather, the natural landscapes and all the vibrant cities that have so much on offer. As a model who works a lot internationally it’s really exciting for me to be an ambassador for a leading Australian jeweller – especially because the collections seem to just get better and better!

2.  Do you have a favourite piece from the Linneys Trilogy Collection? What piece is it?

I'm obsessed with the stunning pieces featuring Pink Argyle diamonds! Of course they are incredibly beautiful, but their real allure is that they are extremely rare and valuable, as well as uniquely Australian. Most of the world’s pink diamonds come from the Argyle Diamond mine in Western Australia, which I think is pretty special.

3.Describe your off duty look, including the jewellery that completes it?

I like to keep it simple, relaxed and classic. My go-to look is a pair of skinny jeans or leather pants, boots or white sneakers, and a leather jacket or blazer, with a great handbag. For jewellery I usually wear a couple of thin rings, a fine necklace, my engagement ring and maybe some studs or a tennis bracelet.

4.What is your go to piece (or pieces) of jewellery for a night out?

I love rocking statement pieces for a night out. My favourite things to wear are some dangly earrings, or if I’m wearing a plunging neckline, I love wearing a long necklace to complete the look. It’s all about complementing your outfit.
