Categories of Neck Jewellery

Apart from the necklace, there are various categories of neck jewellery to choose from at Linneys. Instead of being worn at the centre of one’s chest, necklets are close-fitting and aim to sit closer to the base of the neck. Chains feature a more straightforward design, with precious metal forming the base of the necklace or pendant.

Unlike the other categories, lariat necklaces have no traditional clasp for closure – but instead drape across the chest with a special knot, or one end threading through the other. Lastly, the strand category can be best observed through our pearl strand necklace designs, of which may be laced with stunning gemstones.

Styles

Our styles range from neoprene, trace, silk thread and foxtail, also referred to as a wheat chain. When considering the style of your next pendant or necklace, we custom design a chain to your ideal length. The standard sizes are 40cm, 42cm, 45cm, 47cm extender chains and 50cm, 55cm, 60cm, 70cm.

Rose gold, sterling silver, white gold and yellow gold are amongst the different precious metals used by our Perth jewellers to create our collection of necklaces and pendants.

Gemstones
