40under40 Award winner: Justin Linney
We are thrilled to let you all know that Justin Linney was recently announced as a winner of the prestigious 40under40 Awards for Business Leadership and Innovation.
The awards celebrate Western Australia’s top 40 young business people, across a diverse mix of sectors, from finance and health to law, community leadership, and retail.
Following his nomination for the 2021 40under40 Business News Awards last year, Justin submitted a 2,000-word document addressing questions outlined by Business News judges.
The submissions from entrants were assessed by over 30 judges.
The criteria recognises personal determination, commercial drive, and business success and acknowledges philanthropic and community contributions.
The 2021 gala was held at Crown Perth on Wednesday 10th March. Business News senior editor and chief judge Mark Beyer said a record number of entrants applied, making selecting a winner a challenging task.
“The judges were looking for people with a track record of sustained success over several years,” Mr. Beyer said. “While the awards are fundamentally about business success that can come in many forms. It includes people who find time, in their busy lives, to contribute to their community.”
Linneys is ecstatic for Justin, who commented, “although the awards are individual, they are made possible by an entire team. Thanks to the Linneys team - this is our award, and it’s a great reflection of the growth that our amazing brand has experienced and the successful leadership transition from one generation to the next.
