Linneys Creative Director Engaged In Broome

Linneys Creative Director Justin Linney has wedding bells in the near future as he proposed to long-term girlfriend Cat Golledge in August. The couple, who were at Ramada Resort on Eco Beach, have jaws dropped over the stunning yellow diamond engagement ring, which Justin designed himself. “Cat has always loved fancy natural yellow diamonds, especially radiant cut diamonds, so I was looking for this particular diamond for a few years and recently found the perfect 2.4ct fancy yellow radiant cut diamond.”

The couple have been dating for 6 years, and met up North in Broome. Because of this, Justin decided that Eco Beach near Broome was the perfect place to propose as this is a very special place for the couple. On the evening Justin proposed his partner Cat thought they were going for a casual picnic, when he actually had a private beachside table booked. It was during this evening that Justin dropped a knee, and asked Cat to marry him. As the Creative Director of Linneys, the expectations around the ring were high. Justin said “the ring had to be perfect, I wanted it to have a classic and elegant look with a point of different”.

Looking At The Engagement Ring

To complement the main stone, Justin added two trapezoid shaped diamonds either side to give a contrast of colour. The yellow diamond is set in 18ct yellow gold and the rest of the ring is made using Platinum.

The ring is made up of three different cuts of diamonds, two different precious metals and 3.38cts of diamonds. Linneys has some of the finest Engagement rings available see our showcase in the store.

Justin said “I referred back to what I tell my clients – engagement rings should suit the individual, it doesn’t matter what everyone else is doing. I wanted to capture what I love about Cat in the ring design – she is always elegant and regal, both in her personality and her style, so the ring needed to reflect this”.
